On May 19, 10am UK time we are back with another UKSSD WebEx and hope you will be able to join!

As governments across the world start preparing for the High-level Political Forum this summer it will be valuable for UK stakeholders to explore the ways in which other European countries are taking forward the SDG agenda. We are therefore delighted the next UKSSD WebEx will be led by Annika Lindblom (Secretary General, Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development) and Veronica Tomei (German Council for Sustainable Development).

In their presentations Annika and Veronica will be taking us through the way in which Finland and Germany have approached the sustainable development agenda, considering what makes the German and Finnish approaches unique, what makes them successful and what challenges they face. Annika and Veronica will then go into some more detail on the current work on the SDGs and lessons we might learn for the UK’s approach.

The 30-minute presentation will be followed by a 20-25 minute Q&A, facilitated by UKSSD co-chair Dominic White.
